Geoffrey Makstutis

Pearson UK / Subject Lead for Construction, Art & Design

Geoffrey Makstutis studied architecture at University of Michigan, gaining a BSc Architecture degree, and at the Architectural Association, gaining the AA Diploma. He worked in architectural practices in Detroit, Chicago, New York and London on projects ranging from private residence, to retail shops and museums.

Formerly, head of undergraduate architecture at Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts London); he has also taught at the Architectural Association. Geoffrey has been a guest lecturer, visiting critic and external examiner at numerous schools; including, University of Westminster, Royal College of Art, Glasgow School of Art, University of East London, University of Witwatersrand, University of Manitoba, Canterbury School of Architecture, University of Lincoln, University of Hertfordshire and Universidad Politécnica de Valencia.

Geoffrey Makstutis is the Subject Lead for Construction, Art & Design with Pearson UK. He is the author of Architecture: An Introduction (published by Laurence King, 2010) and co-editor of Intercultural Interactions in Architectural Education (published by ASD Projects, 2011).
